Seaside is the Oregon Coast's classic beach town, the place where generations of Oregonians have made summer memories.

The famous Seaside Promenade, or Prom, stretches 1.5 miles along the beachfront and is the heart of the community.

The turnaround at Broadway Street is where families gather for saltwater taffy, bumper cars, and arcade games.

But Seaside is more than nostalgia, it is a full-service year-round community with schools, a growing food scene, and a strong local economy.

The Necanicum River runs through town providing kayaking and fishing.

The miles of flat, hard-packed sand beach are perfect for biking, kiting, and long walks.

How Do I Get to Seaside and Around?

About 80 minutes to Portland via US 26, 20 minutes to Astoria, 10 minutes to Cannon Beach. The Promenade runs the length of the beachfront.

What Schools Serve Seaside?

Seaside is served by the Seaside School District. Enrollment, boundaries, and program details are published on the district's official website so you can evaluate the options for yourself. I am happy to share what I know about the area and point you to current district information.
